IGN is proud to announce the 2012 Video Game Presidential Election. Here at IGN we believe that video games can change the world, and we want to know who you think should lead the revolution!
On September 3rd, the Video Game Presidential Election primaries begin, and you can vote for the candidate that you think best represents each system. You'll have a week to decide who should be the nominee for each platform -- Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, PC -- and there will be an additional week where multiplatform and independent candidates will battle it out. Note that the platform a candidate represents is not necessarily based on exclusivity, but rather the system they’re most identified with or on which they appeared first. Loyalty runs deep with our candidates.
The 2012 VG Presidential Election schedule is as follows:
- Week 1: Nintendo Primary
- Week 2: Sony Primary
- Week 3: Xbox Primary
- Week 4: PC Primary
- Week 5: Multiplatform & Independent Primary
Soon after, the candidate campaigns will begin as they challenge one another to determine who will ultimately be named the 2012 Video Game President. Our new President will be inducted on Thursday November 1st, and will promptly take office to lead us into a new era of gaming greatness.
All the action will be available on IGN’s 2012 Video Game Presidential Election site beginning next week.
