Activision has revealed that more details on Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified will be announced at next week’s Gamescom expo in Germany. According to Activision European vice president Michael Sportouch, the game will deliver “a true Call of Duty experience” and Activision is “really excited about the opportunities that the Vita could offer us in terms of connecting with a new audience."
Activision and Sony haven’t said anything about Black Ops Declassified since its announcement at E3. Back in June, the first details about the game were revealed through retail listings, including the fact that Black Ops Declassified includes “both Special Ops Story mode and Multiplayer combat tailored for the PS Vita.” As for the game’s story, we’ve heard only the following teaser: “Before the future could be won, history had to be written.”
Sportouch didn’t reveal exactly when at Gamescom the details will be coming, but since Activision doesn’t hold its own press conference, a safe bet would be Sony’s conference on August 14th. For all the details on Gamescom and when to expect the news, check out our guide to Gamescom.
