Valve Software has updated the Portal 2 level creator today, allowing users to create co-op levels. Map makers have already used the editor, called The Perpetual Testing Initiative, to make more than 170,000 levels.
The update also gives players the ability to check out and play the top-rated maps in an array of categories. To celebrate the announcement, Valve is giving every Portal 2 owner a coupon to give to a Steam friend, netting them 75% off their own copy of Portal 2. This news also comes alongside the announcement of the new Steam Community features, as well as the co-op update to Team Fortress 2.
Anthony Gallegos is an Editor on IGN's PC team. He enjoys scaring the crap out of himself with horror games and then releasing some steam in shooters like Blacklight and Tribes. You can follow him on Twitter and on IGN.
